Booking Cancellation
​
Cancellation made > 48 hrs before booking start - Flat cancellation fee of INR 200 or a % of booking fee, whichever is higher. Such % of booking fee shall be determined solely by Self-Safar basis business impact of such cancellation. Refund of the remaining portion of booking fee after deduction of cancellation fee, will be sent to original source from which such booking fee was received, if possible (i.e. IMPS/UPI as the case may be).
Cancellation made < 48 hrs before booking start - Flat cancellation fee of INR 200 or a % of booking fee, whichever is higher. Refund of the remaining portion of booking fee after deduction of cancellation fee, will be in the following manner: (i) Self-Safar shall issue redeemable coupon code usable on the Self-Safar platform as per applicable terms and condition, or credits/S-points (100% redemption) for upto an amount which will be determined by Self-Safar and (ii) the remaining refund amount will be sent to original source from which such booking fee was received, if possible (i.e. IMPS/UPI as the case may be).
Cancellation made after booking starts - No refund of booking fee
Notwithstanding anything, Self-Safar reserves the right to withhold any refunds due to cancellations, if Self-Safar, at its sole discretion, perceives any credit card frauds by a user or where cancellations are made by a user with an intention to defraud Self-Safar.

Extension post start
​
For Doorstep Bookings: Extension within 2 hours of Bookings End time will lead to cancellation of Doorstep Collection. No refunds applicable

​
For Doorstep Bookings: Extension within 2 hours of Bookings End time will lead to cancellation of Doorstep Collection. No refunds applicable

No charges or refunds applicable

Shortening/Rescheduling within 24hrs of booking start or booking end.
​
Customers will not be able to change the booking start time or shorten the booking end time. No refunds will be applicable. Although Customers can anytime extend the booking.

Late In Payment
​
If Lessee / Customer fails to make any payment of Rent within five (5) days after it is due, interest shall accrue on the overdue amount, from the date overdue until the date paid, at the Overdue Rate. All Rights Reserved To Self-Safar.

Late Return
​
Late return would be charged at (₹250*/hour for 1-6hours) (₹230*/hour for 1-12hours) (₹200*/hours for 1-24hours) in addition to the hourly fee for use of the vehicle. (Charges according to the type of vehicle)
NOTE - This program will be valid only if the customer reschedules before six hours(6Hrs) of predetermined drop-off time. otherwise, they will be charged for 24 hours or loss of revenue with the next booking.

Pricing plan change
​
Pricing plan (free km per hour) cannot be changed post-booking creation. Pricing will be charged on an half-hour basis.
​
Free Kilometres
​
The free kilometers allotted to the customer will be proportional to the number of hours booked and the Flexi package chosen.
​
​
Minimum Duration
​
The minimum booking duration for which the prices will be charged is 4 hours.
​
Discounts
​
Discount is applicable only on trips of a duration equal or greater than 8 hours at the time of booking. Discount is applicable only on the booking fee after adjustment for credits (excluding refundable deposit, if any) paid in advance to book the car. Discount will not be applicable on blackout days. List of upcoming blackout days/peak seasons is here (Please ensure that you select your city to view corresponding blackout days/peak season). Self-Safar reserves the right to cancel a booking if any unwarranted use of a discount coupon is identified.

Fuel Policy
​
Free Fuel is only included in the pricing for with fuel bookings. Members will only be eligible for reimbursement of fuel expenses upon the submission of a Bill containing the quantity of fuel filled, the date on which the fuel was bought, and the cost of the fuel.
In case of No Fuel bookings, the vehicle should be returned by the Member, upon the completion of the booking, with fuel at the same level or same range (Car Range In KM) as at the start of the booking.
If the Vehicle is returned with lesser fuel than the fuel level at the start of the trip then Refuelling penalty will be applicable.
No refund will be applicable if car is returned with excess fuel

Toll Charges
​
The Self-Safar partner/vendors will take care of all toll charges so you can continue to enjoy a hassle free ride. Any toll charges incurred during your ride will be calculated along with the final invoice. Although, on Outstation rides, toll charges have to be paid additionally during the ride.

Speed Governor
​
The Vehicle may be enabled with gps tracking/speed governor in compliance with the applicable Government regulations. Speed Governor limits speed of the Vehicle up to 80 km/h. If there is no speed governor installed on vehicle, you will be alerted through SMS or WhatsApp on your registered mobile number.

Breakdown of vehicle
​
1. The Member shall be responsible for the costs related to the repair, recovery, and loss of use of any Self-Safar vehicle resulting from any of the foregoing, up to the current damage fee, as set forth in the Fee Policy / Rate Schedule (if such costs are because of the fault of the Member or if the fault is not directly established to any other person/ entity, or where any cost is not paid / reimbursed by the insurer of Self-Safar vehicles or the insurer of the other vehicle involved in the accident).
2. Where the Member is not responsible for the breakdown of the Self-Safar vehicle, Self-Safar shall refund an amount equal to the cost of the unused hours of such booking. Further, Self-Safar shall not be liable for any further costs borne by the Member as a consequence of the breakdown of the Self-Safar vehicle

Usage of Self-Safar/Driving Credits
​
Customers will be able to use Self-Safar Driving credits upto 30% of Booking amount (excluding refundable deposit, if any) or upto 10,000 whichever is lesser.

Note:

# Handover pursuant to the original booking, extensions and modifications are subject to availability of the vehicle.

Your free KMs are calculated based on the latest scheduled pick up time to the latest scheduled drop off time or to the actual drop off time whichever is later.

All Refunds made shall be through the original payment account only within 30 working days. We are giving full refunds of any amount paid by you as under:

as a security deposit and/or,
-
amount falling under the free cancellation period and/ or,
-
any other valid charges that you are entitled to.

In case, you opt for getting the refund amount in the form of Self-Safar Coupons, then the amount you are entitled to receive will be considered as settled irrespective of whether the coupon is utilized or not.
Self-Safar reserves the right to charge a fee for specific pre-defined accessories.
Also, a list of penalties that can be levied if members violate certain Self-Safar community rules.

Returning the vehicle to the wrong location
​
₹10,000 + Full hourly fee for use of the vehicle + Full late fee until the vehicle is returned to the correct location
Traffic and Parking violations
Full payment of fines + ₹500 per 30 days late in payment
​
No Show
Bookings would stand cancelled if after 4 hours of booking start time the customer still doesn’t show up.
No refunds would be applicable
​
Overspeeding >= 85 km/hr
₹150/2KM of control. (once you exceed the speed limit you will be charged penalty and you will have 2 kilometres to reduce the speed to the speed limit. if you don't reduce the speed limit within 2 kilometres and keep driving over the speed limit you will be charged another penalty and you will have 2 Kilometres again to reduce the speed to the speed limit and this will be applied so on until you reduce your speed to the speed limit.) (over and above any government fines that may have been levied) -
Expulsion from Self-Safar if overspeeding occurs in two bookings.

You can avoid the penalty only with a recharge of 1500 Rs.
​
MAX. CHARGES UP-TO 5000 RS.
​
Overspeeding >= 120 km/hr
₹300/2KM of control. (once you exceed the speed limit you will be charged penalty and you will have 2 kilometres to reduce the speed to the speed limit. if you don't reduce the speed limit within 2 kilometres and keep driving over the speed limit you will be charged another penalty and you will have 2 Kilometres again to reduce the speed to the speed limit and this will be applied so on until you reduce your speed to the speed limit.) (over and above any government fines that may have been levied) -
Expulsion from Self-Safar.

Expulsion from Self-Safar

Wrong Fuelling
₹10,000 Penalty + The member will be liable for the full cost of damage to the vehicle + miscellaneous expenses arising out of the damages.
Recommendation- Self-Safar would recommend that the member consult the RC Documents of the rented vehicle for information as to the correct fuel type.
​
Key not returned at end of reservation
₹10000 + replacement cost, if not returned within 2 days (For Key Entry Cars)
₹15000 + replacement cost, if not returned within 2 days (For Keyless Entry Cars)
​
Co-driver
₹ 2000 if co-driver has not been added in the booking before booking start time.
​
GPS showed offline/off
If GPS is showed offline/off then penalty will be charged 5000 rupees every time it is showed offline.
If you repair accidental damage without informing us and on delivery if it is found that vehicle is repaired and difference in look of car is visible before and after accident and repair then big penalty will be charged as decided by authority.
The case of fraud will be made under IPC act 415 and 420 if GPS showed off/offline, it will be considered that battery is disconnected and vehicle is on a repairing shop for repair without our information or permission. If battery is connected again and gps shows the location of repair shop, then help of CCTV footage will also be taken to investigate and prove the fraud case.

Vehicle Damage (Accidental)
Any unintentional/accidental damage will be liable for the damage charges of :
If insurance claim approved is lower than the actual cost of repairing then the difference amount or 5000 which is higher + loss of expected revenue arising out of the damage : Penalty per day 1500 Rupees* until vehicle is fully repaired (till 10 days max.)
Customer has option to pay and repair the vehicle on the same day or asap if s/he doesn't want to wait for the insurance claim.
Vehicle will be repaired in car brand's workshop only.
Vehicle Damage (Intentional or Consequential)
In case of any intentional damage or damage caused to the vehicle as consequence of the member driving the car, even after the car is damaged and need urgent repair (Examples include but are not limited to:
a. driving in water loggings resulting into engine breakdown,
b. driving after under body damages resulting into engine break down because of oil drainage,
c. driving while under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants,
d. driving with clutch over pressing etc.
Member will be liable for the full cost of repair post damage to the vehicle + loss of expected revenue arising out of the damage.
Towing and Impounding
No cost if caused by vehicle failure
Full cost if caused by user negligence
Cleaning required (interiors)
Washing of removables (for footmats etc) would be charged at ₹500. Interior Washing / Drycleaning (for seat covers, door panels) would be charged at ₹1,500.

Crossing the state border without any information
You can use Self-Safar's vehicles in the same state for which your booking will be done. If you cross the border from one state to another without our knowledge or without any information, you will be liable to pay a penalty of Rs 10,000 for each state for the offense of crossing the state border. This penalty is not fixed it can varies according to the states - ALL RIGHTS RESERVED TO SELF-SAFAR.
